Master of Information Management (MIM)

A UNIQUE COMBINATION OF TECHNICAL, ETHICAL AND LEADERSHIP SKILLS

The MIM degree requires 36 credit hours:

• 4 Core Courses (12 Credits) required of all students that provide a foundation of skills and knowledge related to technology, information, and management.
• 8 Additional Courses (24 Credits) to develop advanced knowledge and skills in data science and analytics, cybersecurity and risk management, and leadership and innovation.

Three tracks are available:

• Data Science and Analytics
• Cybersecurity and Risk Management
• Flexible Individual Program Plan

We offer a flexible mix of modalities (in-person and online) and schedules (daytime and evening). You can complete the program as quickly as two years or enroll part-time. You can choose electives to focus on your area of interest and develop expert-level skills tailored to careers in data science, analytics, cybersecurity, and risk management.

Admission to the INFO College’s graduate programs is through the University of Maryland Graduate School, with supplemental program-specific application criteria and materials as described below. The University of Maryland’s Graduate School accepts applications through its TerpEngage application system.

INFO’s faculty, staff, and 3000+ students come from over 63 countries and create a welcoming and encouraging environment. 56% of students identify as male, 45% female, 1% other; 63% of students identify Asian (29%), Black (24%), White (22%), Hispanic/Latino (9%), Biracial (4%), American Indian or Alaskan Native (<1%), Pacific Islander (<1%), Unknown/Other (12%).
